What is Hydroseeding?

Hydroseeding is a cheaper alternative to sod. It is a mixture of mulch, fertilizer, and seed in a slurry form to protect your seed, and give it the best chance to grow. The mulch acts as a protecting layer along with absorbing water to keep the grass seed moist for germination. When watered properly you can have turf like conditions in weeks!

How long before grass grows?

Sprouts can start 2-3 weeks depending on weather and water application.

When can I mow?

You are safe to mow after your grass is 3-4" tall. Skip a watering cycle before you mow. This allows the ground to harden and hold onto the roots preventing the mower from pulling the grass roots out.

What if I have weeds?

Although our seed is weed free, your soil will most likely be holding unwanted seeds that will emerge with the nutrients and application of the slurry. Do not worry! You can either spray your dirt 1-2 weeks before application or spot spray after 3 mowings using a broadleaf application.

How often should I water?

After application watering 2-4 times a day is a must. Keeping the soil moist, but not puddled allows the seed to germinate. Once established you can cut back to a normal watering schedule.
